Greg Balestrero - PMI Scheduling Credential

Greg Balestrero, CEO for the Project Management Institute, shares his views about PMI, provides an update on the new PMI Scheduling Credential, and discusses the strategy behind the new Community Transformation Project (CTP). Doc Dochtermann, PMP, VP Publicity and Relations, and Tim Cermak, PMP, Director Campus Affiliates for the PMI College of Scheduling, were able to meet up with Greg following his keynote at the PMI College of Scheduling 5th Annual Conference held May 4-7 in Chicago.

Greg brings more than 20 years experience in executive-level association experience to the Project Management Institute PMI.  An industrial engineer by training, Mr. Balestrero has extensive experience overseeing administrative, financial and internal affairs for professional associations.

Payson Hall - A Modest PMBOK® Proposal: Project Blame Management

In today’s podcast, Payson Hall, consulting project manager and founding member of Catalysis Group, Inc., proposes an expansion to the existing PMBOK knowledge areas by adding a new knowledge area called Project Blame Management (BM).This knowledge area covers the identification, allocation, and management of blame for project failures.  Payson believes that by formalizing an approach to Blame Management, project managers can demonstrate the value of more rigorous process to other knowledge areas and protect their rears at the same time.
